I missed this series of videos, back in 2015 these videos inspired me to buy my first mountain bike
I bought Specialized exclusively until Covid. Looking at other brands, you can get more bike for less money. Also not just bashing Specialized, $12,000 for bike is nuts...
35!
Allen Cooke? The dude from the X games ??
Looks like a boring bike guys.. nothing special
I’m too poor for this
Yeh nah, i will be keeping the Stumpy evo, what a setback for specalized. I give it 2 years befor they bring back the evo as the Stumpjumper 15 evo 😜
No comments yet!?? I've owned every version of stumpjumper since 2019. 27.5, 29'r, carbon, alloy, st, reg travel and Evo. Still trying to figure out which one I like best. Probably get this one too. But would feel better if it has cable shifter
Keep up the great research. I'll probably keep buying them but not with wireless transmission. It doesn't shift fast enough for my style
NS lepsze
Overpriced BS 👎
Does this mean death for Stumpjumper EVO lineup?
00:57, mechanical shifting (and AL frame) is coming people, well just have to wait for them to capture the early adopters. I imagine once that hype wave is just ending the analog rig will drop. Thanks for getting Matt Hunter involved :)
so you released a rear shock to manage the fact that you put all of the weight for shifting in the derailleur at the rear axle. I'm assuming if I were to run a mechanical drivetrain on the previous generation I'd have essentially the exact same performance.
which begs the question, why are you making a bike for SRAM?
When you sell it like this you should’ve made the S-works frame set green dammit.
My dumbass watched the video a second time because I thought the bike was see through. I thought that’s what he was talking about…
For those wondering, @11:50 you can see the alloy version 😅
Will there be another Status?
Not happy about the wireless shifter
Not happy with wireless only
Honestly this whole hipster vibe is just getting up my ass! Specialized is a massive multinational company, not a bunch of stoked guys in a garage making stuff they love to ride for themselves and their friends. There is way too much inspirational lifestyle vibe in this content.
...but those are the people making the bikes?
You've cut the balls off the bike. Well done.
Looks cool, but only for axs is really shitty😢
i hope have new road bike
Someone pass me the cool aid
Sickkkk!!!
Nice to see specialized’s engineers are keeping riders in good hands
blahhhhh blahhhhh blahhhhh
Where was this filmed?
If this comment get 1000 likes, can you send it for me? Please
No
Hey guy's. Will that new genie shock be available to purchase for us poor people that already dropped thousands on our current carbon Evo's??? From a lot of the reviews on UA-cam, it seem like most of the magic is that new rear shock for this newly redesigned stumpy. That btw look's sooo sick, and is leaving me sick too......[
nice, now a new Levo plz. With over 1KWH Battery, smaller Engine with same Power, less consumption and the same or less weight, Thank you ;)
EOS R3 shooting
I feel like were taking a few steps back here, I mean only electronic shifting? And a proprietary shock? What happened to the cross bar? The old stumpy evo had all the things the new one does and more.
Big mehhh, I'm going to stick to cheaper and cooler options
Honest question: I own a 22’ Stumpy pro, swapped to a Float X. I’m 230# rider weight. The suspension has always been extremely linear, such that I’m bottoming out regularly with max tokens and 285 psi in the rear. All the talk of the new platform being more linear, relying on the shock design to add progression, with a max rider weight at 240… am I going to run into the same issues as the 22? Was really hoping the new design would have a more progressive leverage rate to help the shock not have to work so hard. Any recommendations are appreciated!
cascade link with coil shock
@@brian6speed no link on the non-Evo stumpy, and limited coils rated for the forces added by the yoke/extension design and side load forces implied. Plus coils are linear, so rely even more on a progressive geometry, which is the base of the original issue - lack of frame progression in the 22’ stumpy.
Here comes Cascade Components to save the day to offer a link for 150mm of Rear Wheel Travel. :D Insert a 160mm Fork and Wha la, you got the Stumpy EVO 2. :D
300 bucks for 5mm seems expensive.
@@dft1 Agreed but if someone is so inclined, they'd do it. MTB's and parts for them aren't cheap but it is what it is.
Stop it get some help
Are the suspension rising rate figures (suspension curve) going to be released ? Shock sounds like an integrated 'piggyback ' assembly.
Neccs In this
Specialized is sponsoring anyone nowadays 😂
And at 9 thousand dollars its definitely worth it. Nice package for the money ;)
Maybe because you have not tried yeti bikes! Like trek and specialized I never had the need to ride them for the past 18+ years. Specialized is just meh.
It's nice to have options. It's a great time to be a mountain biker.
Yeti is overpriced. I built high spec stumpy evo for under 5k.
Just bought a Pivot Firebird for $4500 with Fox factory suspension, XT drivetrain, and Hayes Dominion brakes. It’s a size xl and weighs 34lbs. Would cost me DOUBLE THAT for the pro model at $9k 😅
yea and I bought a SJ evo for less than your firebird with better components and weighs 31 lbs.
Hey Specialized folks. I own a Stumpjumper, a Rockhopper, a Diverge and an Allez. My kid has a Hotwalk. I am a well-to-do Software Engineer and I am not a luddite - but I dont want to charge batteries to ride my bike. Y'all fucked up. I wont buy another Specialized bike if you dont offer mechanical shifting support.
Just a master piece! Congrats to all the team!
$12K Bike... Here, take my kidney.
Yup! another overpriced bike. Soon to be 20k
😂😂😂 he's definitely stoned
Uhhhh... thats a mouthfull of marketing bs
Matt Hunter?! Living legend, he and Darren Berrecloth got me into mtb!
